Depression

Are you sometimes more depressed than you would like?

Depression is on the increase in the Western world. Fortunately, this also means that a huge amount of research has been done on what things work best to break the cycle of depression.

Typical signs of suffering from depression are a feeling of fatigue, waking early and a loss of interest in healthy activities which once were pleasurable. Also, often, a sense of hopelessness. Feeling depressed is an awful feeling.

The good news is that because depression is not caused by bad things happening to us but by the way we have developed to respond to those things, new responses can be learned to break the cycle. These new responses take a little practice and it's worth it. You are worth it too, by the way. You are not your depression and you are much bigger than it is, whatever other impression it may try to give you.

However you may feel just now, you can be assured that many people have successfully freed themselves from depression using these strategies. They are very effective in lessening the grip of depression and allowing you to take back control of your life.
